God save us from the hordes of uneducated and un-intelligent numpties who know no better and follow the herd and greedy bastards who want to resell at inflated prices to the less fortunate who didn’t get there in time to buy before the panic.
So what is it with all this bloody panic buying? I mean people are stocking up with tins and tins of beans, veggies and goodness alone knows what else that they don’t normally buy. Not to mention the tons of pasta, rice and noodles they probably don’t even know how to cook because it’s not instant or boil in the bag. Under normal circumstances I do a monthly shop where I tend to buy four of each tinned item and one 500g pack each of pasta and rice, which lasts me for at least the month, if not longer. What are they going to do with all this stuff when this situation is over? And bloody toilet rolls! Why do people think they need hundreds of the things? Again, a pack of 24 usually last me 2-2 1/2 months, so how many times are these people going to the bloody toilet? It’s just bonkers, people really need to get a grip. It is no longer panic buying, it is now sheer greed. It’s not let’s stock up on a few things to get by, it’s let’s buy as much as we can before the other guy can get it first. It’s “I’m alright Jack, every corner of my house is stuffed with things I’ll never use but I’m still buying more, just in case”! It has nothing to do with stocks running out in the shops, because we’ve still got supplies coming into the supermarkets, small shops and market stalls.
Then of course, when they’ve emptied the shelves and can’t shop any more they turn their ignorant minds to their next hair brained idea. Like “Oh, we’re working from home now and our kids are off school for the foreseeable future, let’s go to the seaside for the day!” So off they all trot without a care in the world, with no thought for others or themselves, “Hey, we’re OK, we’re fit and healthy and we’re outdoors,” but so are the other several thousand who had the same thought as you.
These idiots really need to get a brain cell, be sensible, do the shopping they need when they actually need it and, instead of running around the shops like headless chickens or piling the kids in the car and taking day trips, stay home and actually get to know your family for who they really are, not the people you see in the 10 minutes that you spend with them each day because you’re all too busy rushing round going to work and school or with your heads so buried in your technology you are hardly aware they are sitting next to you.
