With Bozzie, Jim and the boys visiting it has been a busy weekend. As we were blessed with really good weather on both days rather than the forecasted rain we have been out and about enjoying our time together along with Harry and Joey. We were joined by Suzy, Cyd, Jude and Finlay on the Saturday for a mini family picnic.

It’s not often we manage to get everyone together but on Friday Night we actually managed it. After meeting in Wetherspoons we had a raucous night at the renowned and infamous Corner Pocket, aka “The Corner Bag”.

On Saturday we enjoyed our afternoon with Suzy, Cyd, Jude and Finners at the Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum for their 1940s Wartime Weekend. Myles and Jude thoroughly enjoyed riding on the trolleybuses.

Sunday was the Civil War Event at Papplwick Pumping Station. Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t need much of an excuse to visit on an “in steam” day. There is just something wonderful about those beam engines!
